MDA Ride for Independence will take place August 4th and 5th, at Blue Mountain Resort, concluding with a beautiful ride through the Poconos to our iconic MDA Summer Camp in Worcester, PA, where riders will be welcomed by the MDA Campers! Riders will have opportunities to tour the camp, meet the campers and their counselors, and participate in activities – including a camper favorite SIDE CAR RIDES!
 
MDA Summer Camp is the “Best Week of the Year!” and what better way to help them kickoff the week!

Below is the timeline of activities. These times are subject to adjust.

Sunday, August 4th
Blue Mountain Resort, Vista Room

  • 1:00pm: Hero Lunch with the Researcher (2023 RFL Heroes)

  • 3:00pm: Hotel Check-in (Room blocks have been secured with discounted rates at Country Inn & Suites and Hampton Inn & Suites in Lehighton)

  • 3:00-4:30pm: Packet Turn in and Incentives Pick up

  • 4:30pm: Alumni Ambassador Ride

  • 5:30pm: Check In/Cocktail Reception/Silent Auction

  • 6:30pm: Buffet Dinner

  • 7:00pm: MDA Program and Awards Presentation

  • 8:00pm: Evening concludes, patio remains open

Monday, August 5th
Blue Mountain Resort, Vista Room

  • 7:30 am: Complimentary breakfast, check in and morning mingle, and bike staging

  • 8:30am: Ride for Independence Start

  • 10:00am: Arrive at camp. Tours, meet the campers, and side car rides, Camp Thank You

  • 12:00pm: Event Concludes
